Your last post made it really clear what you want- more control. Yes? If so, you don't necessarily need a patchable modular. Though that would be nice, you could purchase a synthesizer with a lot of knobs. If you want a Virtual Analog, and do like the sounds from the Micron and MicroKorg, maybe look into one of their big brothers (MS 2000 or Ion) which have a lot of knobs. What is your budget? There a lot of vintage pieces that may be nice for you. Have you looked into a Moog/Realistic MG 1?
yes, CONTROL.
I am in LOVE with knobs, I feel like I know what I am able to get out of something when its knob heavy.
My budget is honestly about 450. (times are rough)
But the Moog Realistic MG 1 does look good, though it seems I might have an issue getting any thick sounds out of it, do you have any experience with it?

Check out the Doepfer Dark Energy. Got most of the stuff the MG1 has except the keys and the organ, has well-labeled knobs for each function but the main reason it's great is that it you can patch it as well if you want, or expand it with more modular gear/fx.
You plug midi in from one of your other synths then send the audio out to your speakers.

I have not personally used it since I am satisfied with the Pro~One, but the majority I've seen sold lately for around $4-500. Do check out the Doepfer unit as well if you can use one of your current boards to MIDI it up.
Check out AGs YouTube demos. He shows everything that thing can do.
