PAIA 2700 Opinion

I have had some interest in buying a paia as they are sold cheaply when they come up. I have been looking at the later 2700 systems with the keyboard. I was wondering if any one has any experience with these units. I understand that the oscillators are unstable but I would mainly be interested in using it for strange sounds and percussion. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

P.s. what is a fair price for a used "as is" paia system like this.
