Can anyone explain MachineDrum love?
A lot of machinedrum owners seem to swear by them. I've had a few chances to play with the machinedrum in a store (Moog Audio in Montreal) and I've been underwhelmed, mostly because I didn't know what I was doing so nothing was that amazing. Can anyone explain the "machinedrum effect" that makes it so awesome to you? I'd especially appreciate videos showing me what it is that makes these things "that cool".

I think people like that it goes far beyond the expectations one would have of a drummachine.
I enjoyed this video, although its a little slow.

I've never owned a box that was so immediate in terms of beat making or sound manipulation. The sampling sounds great and all the machines sound great. Parameter locks with slides are awesome. It's almost like ableton in a box. It also has a lot of hidden potential when pushed into less obvious realms. It's a great centerpiece for a hardware setup.

The user interface is absolutely excellent... the rest is up to the individual
