Re: Korg Monotribe ?
1st demo is sweet. drums are nice and punchy with a crispy snare. nice analogue tone with drippy resonance and sharp attack, perfect for us acid-house junkies.
looks like a really fun toy to just jam with. i think korg is going to sell these by the truckload.

Yep. Filter in the second vid sounds fantastic too. Can't wait.Hair wrote:Sold after the first video demo. Thing looks and sounds like a blast.

Longer demo from MusikMesse:
It can run on batteries, and has a built in speaker. Finally some competition for the Casio Rapman.
New, better video with less background noise:

Sonic State's vid here
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Best quality video there. But I would like to see some proper basslines going with the drums, not just the useless noises.meatballfulton wrote:Sonic State's vid here

I'm sure they were just showing that two could be synced together.Psy_Free wrote:Sounds OK. Funny that they used 2 of them for a demo though, doesn't 1 on it's own cut it ?

You're probably right. The Sonicstate demo video shows that one on it's own can cut it.soundxplorer wrote:I'm sure they were just showing that two could be synced together.

Re: Korg Monotribe ?
how long did it take Korg to release the schematics for the monotron? wasn't it pretty soon after it was released?
i bet they release them for the monotribe as well. what would really be interesting is if they release the firmware for the microcontroller so people can tweak the feature set.

Re: Korg Monotribe ?

Re: Korg Monotribe ?
Yeah it'll be about the same price as the Kaoss Pad Quad I believe, so maybe $300 street.

Re: Korg Monotribe ?
Music Radar are saying £192 with a street price of about £159.
Re: Korg Monotribe ?
That sounds more like it.. I highly doubt it'll be more than 250 USD.. thats sort of the breaking point for these types of products..(teetering on toy, like original KP and the miniKP, kaossilator, etc).crofter wrote:Music Radar are saying £192 with a street price of about £159.
300 is too much, and the KP Quad is a much more elaborate piece of h/w than this thing.
