Yeah, the first mod I could think of EVER doing on the Monotribe is that. Because there's nothing better than having a bass drum that suddenly becomes a fixed-pitch tone.
This thread should have a sign that says "no automatic gainsays allowed"

Kinda sad that the decay doesn't effect the initial attack part of the bass drum to make a more lazer-like bass, but that sounds pretty cool and unique. I like.

I guess that's the difference between attack and decay. ;)

You're right, you're right. I was being an a*s. Honestly, though... there are things I would want to mod before that particular mod, though.
(Or, I'd wait 25 years to own one, pay a lot, and harshly condemn anyone who would mod them)

now that's something!

Great tweakings on the monotribe.

Is a shame that for me, MIDI is a must. I love Electribe's sequencing concept, but I use MIDI not only for sync, but also for transmitting tracks. I focused on sequencing several hardwares synths without computer, that's something I have been digging for years, and still loving it and considering one of the best methods to compose tracks and play live acts, I transmit notes and continuous controllers, and I need MIDI, so, indeed, I belong to the minority :(

(that video is an official one so it doesn't count but...)

I'mma start shooting people if I hear more user videos that is just tweaking the built-in pattern.

Hooking it up to a midi cv converter that outputs clock should be the easiest thing in the world. Still won't be able to sequence it externally, but it'll stay in time at least.

I'm with you. Despite some of the obnoxiousness I've stated, I think a lot of interesting things could be done with this device and I'd really like someone to demonstrate them.
When watching some of these videos, I find myself immediately desperately hoping that the next thing that they do is something really impressive... and then I find myself simply desperately hoping that they'll do something... ANYTHING... sooner than they are.

I think you could even output some rimshot or something like that on a separate out of your esx1, that should work...

Great!

It's just that this tiny tribe is ringing my bell strongly. Obviously is a machine that must make companion with others! not a standalone instrument. Some posts makes me thing that some people thinks this tiny stuff is gonna save the world or something like that.

The video (new or old, official or amateur, wathever that doesn't matter) calls my attention since it does some very interesting rolls and complex sequencing with knob movement. Seems to be a real fun and EXPRESSIVE tiny sequencer with a good sound.

In some way it sounds lke the delay effect of the ELectribe ER1, but better. New Electribes EMX1 and ESX1 cannot do this type of note triggering.

In fact is a good investment is you are used to Electribe's concept and love to play live dance music. It sounds like a lot of fun if you like drum machines, and a good addition to a dance setup and also is cheap. Some comments makes me think that people is expecting an "analog sound design synth" for 215 dol.... :)

Good video performances, will come with practice, and other instruments playing together with it. I hope that experienced and creative tweakers will delight people on gigs on the following months.

I am looking forward to my preordered Monotribe becoming the backbone of a very basic live Berlin School styled presentation, clocked from one of the outputs of my Tetra. Of course, still waiting for them to go on sale in America. When I preordered Novamusik said the end of July. I wonder if that is still the target time of arrival.
