Question about Roland MKS30 and PG 200

Post by chapelier fou » Wed May 25, 2011 1:41 pm

Hi, (and hello everybody, this is my first post),

I am currently using a jx-3P with the organix midi upgrade. It's driven by an external sequencer.

For live gigs, i am thinking of using a MKS30 instead. Can you edit sounds with the PG 200 WHILE the synth is being played ? Because it was not the case on the jx-3P before the upgrade.

And, can you select the midi channel it's responding to ?

Thank you !

Louis

Welcome.

You can tweak MKS30 sounds with the PG200 whilst playing it unlike, as you say, the JX-3P.

I don't know about the MIDI channel selection though.

Actually, you can edit sounds with the PG-200 while playing the JX-3P. Was your question about the PG-200 related to the use of an external sequencer via midi? It's not clear...
Available for sale:
-Chamber of Sounds Jupiter III (mk1) & Jupiter T (mk1)
-The Complete DX7- Howard Massey (with original enclosed sounds on soft disks)

Absolutely. I meant, using the PG200 while using an external sequencer to play the JX3P.
Anyway, i got my answer. The MKS30 seems to have a well known problem of dying VCA/VCFs, although.
