awesome track... is the bass patch a standard from the DX/TX series, or something they made? why are there conflicting reports about what was used?

So is the Voyeur available as a software plug in? Or something close to it. I'm using Logic & Live.

Thanks

The bass sound is the E. BASS 1 DX7 factory patch (maybe tweaked a bit to make it a little brighter). Everyone used that bass patch in the '80s...a-ha ("Take On Me"), Howard Jones ("What Is Love?"), Kenny Loggins ("Danger Zone"), Michael Jackson ("Another Part Of Me"), Mr. Mister ("Broken Wings"), etc.

Speaking of Danger Zone; Arthur Barrow did all the synth/keyboard/drum machine work and played (Fender Jazz) bass on the songs featured in Scarface (1983) and Top Gun (1986). For Top Gun he mainly used a Jup-8 and DX-7 but in some songs there's some samples from the EII and Akai S612.

Further, Barrow is also responsible for a lot of the synth/keyboard work on Moroder's soundtracks to "Electric Dreams", "Metropolis" (along with Kristian Schultze) and Neverending story".

Cool, exactly what I wanted to know. FM8 does a great recreation :)
