more Korg analog - Monotron Duo & Monotron Delay
Two new monotron variants added to the Korg line-up - a 2 osc version and a version with delay.

Re: more Korg analog - Monotron Duo & Monotron Delay
Korg should consider offering their Mono line in packs. Say a Monotron and Monotribe, or a Monotribe Duo and Monotribe Delay, together at a discounted price. For that matter they could do combo packs with other stuff from their mini instrument line, like say a Mini Kaoss Pad and a Monotron.

Awesome! Won't be buying either of these but if/when they do a 2 Osc monotribe and a monotribe drum machine with more control over the drum sounds I'll buy them. I'm loving what the monotribe adds to my setup.
Re: more Korg analog - Monotron Duo & Monotron Delay
Nice.
I'm still expecting the killer blow, though: the around-£1000 analog MS-30 or whatever Korg want to call it. Resurrect the MS2000 chassis with Monotron/Tribe innards, you know the sort of thing.... A big nod to retro design, really push the 'analog' and the 'real' and the 'phat' aand the 'MS20 pedigree' and all of that stuff for the consumers....
Money is waiting, Korg. I'll bet I'm not the only one...

Well seeing as they describe it as 'analog-like' I don't think they're trying to pass it off as real analogue.kuroichi wrote:surely that delay isnt analog...

Re: more Korg analog - Monotron Duo & Monotron Delay
Korg's digital delays are excellent though, they create the most bizarre noises out of all of the DD's I've tried....
Re: more Korg analog - Monotron Duo & Monotron Delay
Yeah, I didn't mean that as a critique, I was just a bit shocked thinking they had made a battery powered analog delay!tekkentool wrote:Korg's digital delays are excellent though, they create the most bizarre noises out of all of the DD's I've tried....
I did read the korg page though and 'analog like' caught my attention as stab mentioned.

Wow, this is great news! I'm buying the Duo for sure, not sure about the other one yet, I'd like to hear more from it.
Here's an article with videos, in case no one has heard them yet: http://createdigitalmusic.com/2011/11/k ... cket-size/

Yes, this is quite cool, but why not just throw in the delay in the two osc version, instead of giving us two boxes? Kudos to Korg, but I won't be buying these until they offer a bit more tweakwise. They're just too basic at the moment.

this is cool. seems to sort of follow the Moogerfooger pattern of a-la carte units. I'm surprised though that they didn't design them to be more physically joinable or dare I say modular. at least Moogerfoogers are flat on the sides so you can line them up tight. these look curved on the sides. still pretty cool though.

I didn't really ready over all of it so I may have missed it but was there a price or release day yet?
