I was looking for something portable to practice theory and i found this thing, i thought it sounds pretty great, nice feature is that the headphone output is 1/4" not 1/8" so its easy to run into guitar pedals,
i could not find any mods online, does anyone by chance know any nice circuit bends that are possible on this thing?
anyone else a fan of the casio mt-11 toy keyboard?

Yeah they're awesome, great Casio square wave clarinet and a piano that sounds anything but like a piano
...and polyphonic too which is nice, don't mod it tho they're great as they are

yeah i was worried i might ruin the whole thing. but some pitch bending or distortion would be nice, i was thinking maybe its possible to expand the tune trimpot to a wider range.Hybrid88 wrote:don't mod it tho they're great as they are

I have a stack of Casios but not this one. Time to hit the thrift stores and flea markets again...

I agree, don't mod it. I used to run mine into a rack with half a dozen effects and it's high harmonic content made for some awesome moments. Need to pick up another...

I've got one for years, and opened it today for cleaning.
Not ridiculous inside! Made like a true synth... Even a metal keybed, folks!
Well, I'd like to mod it a little bit however:
-Control on Vibrato speed and depth (too weak as it is).
- Vib-LFO to harmonics routing.
-There must be some kind of filtering in that beastie, because the PIANO and CLARINET presets are very soft... So a cutoff pot and an modulation routing on it would be really cool!
Does anyone kown where to find the schematics, or bending tricks?
