Looking for someone with an old Korg M1/Frontal Lobe setup

Post by Sabu » Mon Nov 07, 2011 11:17 pm

Hi there,

I'm a brand new poster here, and I was hoping someone here in the community might be able to help me out with a little quest of mine.

This may sound a little strange, but I'm actually looking for a recording of the original demo song/songs included with the Frontal Lobe unit. I used to have one back in the 90's and I've been feeling a bit nostalgic lately--I figured it would be fun to track down those long-forgotten sounds for another listen.

If you can help me out at all, or if you can point me in the direction of anyone who can, I would love to hear back from you. Thank you for your time!

Eric
Portland, OR

P.S. Apologies to anyone who finds this message familiar-- I posted a similar topic on another vintage synth forum a few years ago, but have still been unable to find anyone to help out. I'm not giving up hope yet, though; I know someone is out there! :)

Even if the OP isn't still around, it'd be great if you could record the demo songs. I love old '90s keyboard demos :)
Computers: Amiga 1200, DEC VAXStation 4000/60, DEC MicroPDP-11/73

Wow, I hadn't expected a response to this thread four years later-- So glad you came across it, Mister Gibson!

I'd definitely still be interested in reliving some of those demo songs if you happen to have the M1/FL set up and available to press record. Sounds like I'm not the only one.

Is this something you might be able to do easily? I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Hi. I don't have an actual m1 but I do have it in the Korg Classics VSTi collection. I don't know how/if I can connect the Frontal Lobe to my MacBook. Any advice? I'm also willing to sell or trade the unit for something musically interesting.
