Hey everyone - I know this is Vintage SYNTH Explorer, but where would we have been in the early days without drum machine to lay down the beat for us? So I posted an article over on Waveformless I thought might interest people here taking a look at some historical, rare, and just plain weird drum machines over the years. I'm sure someone here can enlighten us to some more, so by all means, chime in!

$5k for the Quintron? Interesting kit, but no wonder I was so suspicious of it at the time ... still seems like a hipstery shaggy dog inside joke, to be dead honest. Also, deep in my memory banks, I recall twice visiting my neighbor, a pretty brilliant EE, while he was trying to revive his Paia orange box. No dice.
Thx for the list, btw.

I like drum machines. A lot. However, the MPC is technically a sampler with a sequencer.
