Ring modulation is absolutely crazy osmetimes.

on a side note, I had a vintage 1950's Snooper geiger counter for a while but I could never find the battery for it.

I eventually sold it for a handsome profit since it had the original box, manual, etc.

I would love to get a geiger counter that would work off of a more conventional battery.

One thing I like to do is ring mod a source with a different version of the same sound. For example, I'll run a synth or a guitar through a slight amount of flanger and use the clean out and effect out for carrier and modulated source.
Or often I will run the signal through a lowpass filter and send the clean signal to the carrier input.
It sound amazing to ring mod vocoder stuff. My EHX Iron Lung has a clean and effected out, so I run the clean as the carrier and the effected as modulated source. It actually makes the spoken/sung words more intelligible believe it or not.
The Moog ring mod is also great just as an adjunct to my analog synths.
I really like using the carrier as a 2nd osc for my single osc synths.
And who doesnt love another LFO? I just wish it had ramp or triangle.
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with all thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave
