Monkeys and synthesizers

This video was an ad for an electronic music festival.
Several types of monkeys were exposed to synths. (notice how a TR 909 was given to tamarin)
This video was meant as tongue in cheek announcement, but on scientific grounds the idea remains fascinating.
I imagine that to get a valid experiment, these animals ought to get a prolonged contact with the instrument, beyond the surprise and/or fear reaction in order to gain some control over the sound and maybe some "expressivity" in the sounds they produce.
At that stage, it would then be interesting to hear what was produced, knowing that their capacity to mold sound with these instruments remains separate from "understanding" ADSR or filter resonance concepts (I suppose) .
