I have just got a yamaha pss9 and I am thinking about bending it and I require a filter and LFO. Any ideas were can I get one for cheap pls?

Filters and LFOs
Hi guys,
I have just got a yamaha pss9 and I am thinking about bending it and I require a filter and LFO. Any ideas were can I get one for cheap pls?

The moogerfooger range let you add analog moog filters to anything you like

Or, since you'll be modifying electronics anyway, why not make one?

Electrix Filter Queen or Filter Factory should be cheaper, although the MF-101 will have more character. The Filtered Coffee is a nice MS20 filter clone project, but I've never heard of anyone who has built one.
I am no longer in pursuit of vintage synths. The generally absurd inflation from demand versus practical use and maintenance costs is no longer viable. The internet has suffocated and vanquished yet another wonderful hobby. Too bad.

if you're comfortable dissecting and rewiring, maybe use one from a modular? filter+powersupply wouldn't be cheap, but a doepfer filter+lfo would be less than a moogerfooger pedal, especially if you grab them used.

The doepfer modules still need power from somewhere. I think they run on +12V, the manual would tell y ou that.

if you can find a good deal (under 100$'s) then an alesis philtre is worth getting. i got one for 50$'s.. just have to be patient. Over 100$'s I'd start looking @ building your own or a moogerfooger, etc. Theres a ton of cheap guitar LP/LFO guitar pedals out there too.
