I know this song is cheesy, but I'm curious: what synths were used on Chris de Burgh's megahit "The Lady in Red"?

Also, on a completely different note, what synths does Tim Hecker use? More generally, what do other microsound artists use?

All of Chris De Burgh's stuff is done with Supercollider and GRM tools.

Tim Hecker's music is made by violently jamming copies of Chris De Burgh records in to a DX-7.

I'm assuming you're referring to Mr. Hecker, as I doubt softsynths and DAWs were quite the rage in the 1980s.
