Modding moog sonic 6
I love my sonic 6, among many mods i would love to do, I would REALLY like to be able to have an external trigger. Is there any way to do this? This is a great synth for sequencing, but drives me crazy that I can't trigger and do ext. gate control.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Do not mod your Moog Sonic Six.
P.S. It's "six."

I don't feel like it would be worth any less with gate control. That mod would make it my most used synth. It already has a volume control input, couldn't gate be tapped into the keyboard gate and wired through that plug? No new holes, and reversible.
Unless you know how to trick it into responding to gate control?
Or perhaps I'm crazy?

Also, a main reason this is an issue is that the s6 is my only synth that can keyboard transpose sequences... Which very possibly this mod would disengage, not unlike my odyssey.
Re: Modding moog sonic 6
Do you realize that the accessory jack has pitch-CV and gate points? All you need is one of the appropriate connectors (still available), which you can then wire appropriately.
Do you even post on vse bro?

Sir ruff, do you know where I can find one of these plugs so I can wire it up with a 1/4" input in to the trigger circuit? This would be perfect, with no actual modding of the machine.

Got it all figured out. It's called a cinch jones plug. I can get one on eBay for $5 to $10, then wire it up to connect through the right pin, put a 1/4" cable on it and I'm ready to go.
Thanks for your help all.
