...Even so, I can live with that considering the cost and that sound...it sounds huge in the Unison mode when detuned...then have 4 (or more) in the poly mode through Midi pal... simplyStepLogik wrote:If the MIDI implementation chart is accurate, some knobs (such as resonance) do not respond to MIDI CC.Re-Member wrote:Actually, patch storage is indeed possible since each knob responds to MIDI CC. Someone just needs to write a program similar to the MTribe software for the Monotribe to make it easy to do. Also, not sure if such a thing exists, but if there's a MIDI controller that can save and reload CC positions, that could work for patch storage as well.jcn7 wrote:and now you've got a VERY inexpensive 4 voice! Re: New analog boxes from Korg?
That's because voltage controlled resonance isn't that easy to do if you want your circuit simple and cheap - you have either to "waste" one precious VCA for this or use some weird tricks like diode in PS-3100 or some single-transistor attenuator - which have poor performance when compared to simple pot.

I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Next year.
The >2 delays rule ("If something is delayed greater than 2 times by unit of measure X, the actual delivery time will be 1 unit of measure Y, where Y is the next unit of measure up from X"). So, applying this well-proven rule, we get 1 year of delay (having been previously delayed three times, each time by 1 month).

BLOODY FRAKKING h**l!!!!
Just called MF to see if they got their Volcas in (were supposed to receive on 7/29), but their receive date has now been pushed to Sept. 15th and ship out around the 20ths.
At least I've got my Solaris to keep me busy for a while.

Z, you crack me up. You own a Solaris and you pre-ordered Volcas.

And the Solaris is just killing time till the Volcas arrive.
Somehow KORG Corporate needs to get a hold of that sentiment.

But the main reason, I'm sure, is that the Solaris doesn't do drums... duh.
Do you even post on vse bro?

Re: New analog boxes from Korg?
For $150 each (actually less), they're no-brainer purchase. I think they'll be cool lined up on the back of my Jupe 4: bass, lead rhythm, drums and poly (JP-4).meatballfulton wrote:Z, you crack me up. You own a Solaris and you pre-ordered Volcas.

Re: New analog boxes from Korg?
That's an even worse way to look at it.
My production split:
$4,500 for music, $150 for drums.
I hope there's a lot of synth solos. Lol

Re: New analog boxes from Korg?
Some funny maths. If 2 Volca keys (3 voices) cost 150 USD each then a new Polysix would cost a little over 300 USD, lol. OK, add some extra circuitry and options so we land at 500-600 USD for a Korg Poly-Analog.
Pity that the Volca Keys is delayed, it's so hard to wait for that candy, lol.

Re: New analog boxes from Korg?
If they did re-issue the Polysix, everyone would complain that it only had 1 oscillator.
