When they turn up in the UK though is anybody's guess, although based on previous DSI stuff it shouldn't be too far in the distant future.

The price (in the UK anyway) of DSI synths almost never comes down. The price of an Evolver is the same now as it was when it first came out, same goes for Mopho etc etc. The prices can change due to Pound vs Dollar exchange rate fluctuations, so sometimes the price can dip a bit (or rise a bit).

When you look at the spec, £2000 for a Prophet 12 is pretty reasonable.

Yeah it's pretty much constant on most synths in Norway too. I've seen Nordlead 2X's that cost the same now as they did on release.
