New Wurlitzer EP/Clone?
Is there anyone that makes a new version of the Wurlitzer Electric Piano, or a clone that sounds like it? I know they make the Rhodes Mk 7 but I can't seem to find a new Wurly variant. I prefer the sound of a Wurly more than a Rhodes.

does it have to be new?
I just picked up a Wurlitzer 206A a couple of weeks ago for so cheap you wouldn't believe the price if I told you.

I know they can be cheap, but I'm more or less just curious. They make a new Rhodes so I just wanted to know if they made a new Wurly variant. More or less I just want to see what's become of these classic keyboards these days.

they were asking $25 but I didn't have change.
you know how there'll be ads on craigslist that just say "electronic piano" ?
I've opened 1000 of those ads, and 999 times it'll be a Yamaha PSR-275 or Casio LK-100, the thousandth time it was a Wurlitzer.
anyway, Vintage Vibe is the only game in town right now, and it sounds like a cross between a Rhodes and a Wurly.
or you could get a Nord Electro or Korg SV-1, but you might not ever be happy with it.
it's like clavinet, now that I've played the real thing I could never go back.
I won't tell you how much I paid for my Clavinet/Pianet Duo, it'd just make you sad.

If you are curious you might be able to rent one for $100 for a week.
There is a synth repair guy in my area. Tri-wave music and he rents his stuff out.
We can't all be so lucky to get one of these for$30.
Some of us are lucky enough to find one in a garage for free : )
Seriously, if you want a clone they just don't compare to the sound of a 40 year old wurlitzer ep.
