Seemingly worthless rums, but for as well as it does a 303 sound (from hearing the second demo now after the first), the thing's starting to look like a steal. They probably could have isolated the bass section, put it in a little silver box, and sold it for TT-Cyclone prices.

Jesus... if "pre-release" overhype and then long shipping delays have been Arturia and Korg's
faux pas, creating the worst, least-inspiring early demo vids must be Akais. I mean, how hard would it be to give it to a tech and say, "Run through every parameter and explain what it does". This half-assed method of "jam" vids is just irritating (especially when you can't even tell what's going on, as in RD's vid).

I don't know, you could tell most of what was coming from the wolf and the snare in particular sounded I million miles better than previous demo's. Of course, it could eq'd, processed, whatever but it's good to see something interesting happening rather than a basic beat with an acid line over the top. You don't really need to see every parameter, it's not going to be rocket science to work it.

Best track I heard in ages, but not probably not the best demo of the Wolf

I don't think it's weird to show a variety.
Hard clinical scientific
Jammy and cool beat being made
In context with other pieces
Some celebrity gushing.
Why we are getting NONE of the above is beyond be.
Veteran company with a weird launch of an easy product to market.
Early, it sounds too much like microTonic.
BUT! It seems quite HUGE for the price.
I expected something more toy-like. This looks pretty solid.
Like 99.9 % of gear, it will probably be run through something else.
And for those that intend to use it live, it's all about hip-style-points and not sound, so they should be fine with it anyway.

Not sure what you mean?
You got an Artist praising it and using it within his style of music. You can clearly hear the sounds within the other stuff going on. Sure, alot is being manipulated but it does show an Artists take on it. If you cannot see past that then maybe you should just wait and try it in a shop with the most basic beat you brain can comprehend
I hated the raw sound of this from the other vids so I don't know why i'm defending it now, ha.

After checking out your myspace music page and listening to your catalog, I'm not so sure you're the guy to take a swipe at me and my music. I'm just saying, and yeah, a wink makes it all in jest.
Back on topic, I mean a gushing video where the person is actually talking about the unit. Saying it does XYZ and explaining WHY we should be interested. Seeing it plugged in somewhere is cool and I guess if you are a fan of RD, it might say a lot that he even plugged it in to his system.
So far, I have seen 3 videos. All have left, in my opinion, much to be desired.
1) Non working demo
2) Working demo that sounds kinda weak
3) Buried unit among a heap of modular and *maybe* the snare is the contribution to the din.
And you are not defending the box. (Since you know as little as we all do)
You are defending their promotional campaign's earliest phase.
And yeah, I have no idea why either.

Yea, I mean it's cool to see it in use, but trying to get a sense of the flavor of the machine from that is like trying to get the sense of the flavor of an orange from a pastry that uses orange zest.
