The press releases should have read "we're more than happy to let Universal Audio spend a bundle on hardware development and just rewrite our old plugins to work in their API"

I like my PowerCore. and the Virus softsynth. Wish i could find a multi-dsp license.

Yeah i used to have 2 of those cards inside my pc with the virus multi etc. Also had that little power core desktop unit back in 2007-8 a few bugs in the Virus but still worked for me. On a mac now and have the Apollo so i twas good news for me.. i used to love my Dynamic EQ plug-in :-)

I used to love my TC powercore when I still had a computer with PCI slots that could run it.
The reverb and limiters were great, the Tubefx plugin is the ONLY tube sim I have ever heard that sounded realistic. If I can get that one plug in back I am on board.
Their SH101-ish synth wasn't half bad either.
I think the problem wirth most of the TC stuff wasn;'t that it sounded bad or cost too much. More that their plugins were kind of too technical and not terriblyuser friendly. The Tubefx for example took me a long time to understand the various options and params. And I have built preamps and power supplies from scratch.

They patched alot of the Virus bugs in like 2009.

Thanks I remember some petition going around for a bit about this, still this is good news for me as I now use the UAD Apollo Duo recently released. I would just like the Dynamic EQ plug first off though Ash

yep, i like that one, though the reverb on it is pretty nice too.
