What do you want from Moog?
What do you want from Moog?
Figure I'd give this a shot. I think we fall into camps and it aint so easy to lump all the complainers in to one pile. For me, I have the Voyager and a bunch of pedals so really, they'd have to release some kind of end all/be all to make me sell and buy the new thing. I feel like everyone who digs the tone already has something from them so again, it might be an upgrade option of a different physical layout that piques interest.
They releases the Taurus pedal/organy thing and I think that lead to the full on desktop bass module.
I think it's awesome, if not a little pricey, but a few years ago that would have been my dream buy.
I think they should make a giant MODULAR {PEDAL} rig that combines ALL of their current pedals and adds some new filter/effect options and tons of breakout (CV) controls. It should be standalone enough to pass ANY synth through it, but a lovely fit for their current line....so maybe it has that VX352 thing going on....
From there, they could make a (smaller) version with 1 VCO and a ribbon controller or trigger plate so you can play it standalone or layer the internal OSC with whatever you pass through it. If that's too expensive a simple RUN button would work.
You get 2 votes...so it should be easier since there are so many choices....

That would be cool, I actually really liked the digital apps they do.Stab Frenzy wrote:Animoog Module
But making modules again would be cool, seems like every man an his dog is doing it, except moog.
And a poly, I don't think it's that much of an ask if they can make a bloody gold plated voyager and an emerson modular FFS

A Memory Moog-like analogue polysynth, with improved oscillators, better build quality, and stability.
Moog building something modern? Hey, would Beretta make Kitchen Aids?

I still think they could nail an analog drum machine.

Re: What do you want from Moog?
It would be great if Moog developed a vco poly and/or got back into modular, which actually seems somewhat plausible now after that Emerson build. But I don't need Moog to get either so I'm not too worried about it. I'll spring for a prophet and dotcom when the time comes.
