Hi!
I may have done a stupid thing. Just bought a pr 100 on ebay and now I’m starting to worry, will I be able to sync it with my other roland gear? Tr 909 tr 606 etc.

it'll sync to MIDI clock, I think it might have SPP as well, but not MTC - it's a fairly basic two track, 16 channel linear sequencer. If you want to sync to DIN 24, you'll need something else.
Edit: does the 909 output MIDI clock and DIN 24 simultaneously? If so, you're sorted.

The TR-909 can sync to external DIN Sync24, but not output DIN Sync24. It would be possible to use the TR-606 as master clock with its DIN Sync24 output to the 909's Sync IN and then MIDI OUT of the 909 to MIDI IN of the PR-100. But it'd probably be best to find a MIDI to DIN Sync box to slave the 606 with.
Also, the PR-100 uses 2.8" QuickDisks which are impossible to find new and most disks are now 25 years old and could be corrupt. Just a friendly warning.

I had a quick look up of the manual - like the MSQ 700, it's either/or. Other than a Roland SBX 80 or a Korg KMS 30, I think the Elektron Analog 4 outputs DIN sync and MIDI simultaneously - I'm sure there's more options.
QD's are very long gone.

I prefer the Roland SBX-10. 1 MIDI IN, 2 MIDI OUTs, 1 SYNC IN, 2 SYNC OUTs and 2 variable time base outs great for driving DMX and LinnDrum

Thanks for all the great replies! I was totally stressed out when i wrote the post so i might have misled you a bit. For the sync between the 909 and 606 i use a Korg KMS-30. My worry was that there would be a problem with getting midi tempo in. This is actually my first polyphonic sequencer, well not counting the 909s, and I’m starting to feel it was a reason why i was so cheep
The Roland SBX-10 seems really nice! But i guess its quite expensive and hard to find?
Thank again! I’ll uptake you on my progress!
