My first synth was a Moog Rogue. First song I learned was The Cars' "Just What I Needed"

Re: What was the first song you learned on your first synth?
The first synth I bought myself was a brand new (at the time, obviously) Sequential Circuits Prophet 600. I also got a Roland TR-909 as a gift from my Dad around the same time which I was slightly disappointed with because I really wanted the Linn Drum my neighbor had, and at the time, the TR-909 was just a cheap toy compared to "real" drum machines (lol.)
Anyway, the songs I did were all original until the following year when I bought the Ensoniq Mirage and did my first cover song, Gary Numan's "Complex" which I recently found on an old cassette! Just now uploaded it to Soundcloud for you all to cringe to enjoy (I may regret this.
) All recorded direct to a Clarion 4-Track Cassette Recorder in 1984. Bad vocals sung using a cheap Radio Shack mic -
This was the setup at the time (around 1985-86 in this photo) -

Re: What was the first song you learned on your first synth?
I've never really been interested in learning songs. I prefer to just play. the first patch I ever did was the UFO patch from the mg1 manual. back in the 80s I was always nerding out in radio shack.
I was disappointed because it did not sound like "Close Encounters" at all.
