Peavey Paradox
Hi all,
So I finally have gotten around to doing a very quick demo of this synth. As far a I know there were only two or three made.
Here is the link
I did not go through all the filter settings but it has the usually suspects ,LP2,LP4 ,HP,bandpass.
Pretty cool sounding beast. a shame Peavey never made it.
Still works like a charm.
Made very sturdy like most Peavey stuff.
Arpeggiator is cool but cooler still is the routing of a very tightly synced LFo to filter or anything else you can think of. All clocked to midi if desired.
Enjoy.
Paul

Yeah, that sounds nice. Strange set up with the brain and large desktop unit for controlling. I guess it made sense for guys who wanted to program presets them take just the brain onto the stage.
Any idea who was behind the design?

Re: Peavey Paradox
I believe it was designed by Lloyd Trammell who now runs Max Sound HD Audio.
Kind of a genius dude. Good guy too.

Re: Peavey Paradox
Vertical video and camera miced
I remember someone here a long time ago asking if anyone knew what they had and it was one of those, don't know if it was you or not?
Sounded pretty dang nice. It is also very cool looking, I'm jealous. I have a Peavy PC-1600 which is just a bad a*s little midi slider controller box, and I think quality and functionality wise it is too bad Peavy hasn't continued or do more in the realms of synths and controllers.
P.S. It looks like an old DB 25 parallel printer cable if it isn't a SCSI cable.

Re: Peavey Paradox
It may have been me that posted a while back. I can't imagine anyone else having one of these.
Yeah sorry about my lack of video and audio skills for the demo.
I promise when I record for real I do it the right way.
It is a printer cable actually.
I had it calibrated and cleaned up the other day and used on a track or two in the last couple of days.
I really think Peavey did not know what they had in this box.
Pretty monster low end and some cool functionality for modulation routing etc.

Re: Peavey Paradox
Was it more than just a Spectrum with knobs?

Re: Peavey Paradox
It is different than the spectrum in that the spectrum was a wavetable synth I believe.
this is a real analog synth. two oscillators and a sub. No sample playback.
Bunch of other differences also but this is the main one.
