I haven't listened yet, but this sounds like it could be pretty interesting! I've spent a little bit of time with various bits of African electronic music over the past couple of years, and its definitely some cool stuff.
I don't know whether they count but I am a big fan of Johnny Clegg & Savuka (South Africa). Apart from two of their songs that were featured in movies ("Scatterlings of Africa" in "Rain Man" and "Dela" in "George of the Jungle"), they are totally unknown here in the UK even though they were huge in France. I saw them live in Annecy back in 1988 and it was an incredible experience. The music produced by those 3 white and 3 black guys plus one backing vocalist was 100% live and so musically tight and powerful it's unbelievable. Their percussionist Dudu Zulu was murdered in 1992.
The two keyboard players, Keith Hutchinson and Steve Mavuso used 3 synths each and no MIDI live and on the 1987 "Third World Child' LP: Korg Poly-61, Yamaha DX7 x 3, SCI Prophet 600 and Roland JX-3P. The Poly-61 was later ditched for a Roland D50 for the "Shadow Man" album (1988) and the usual Korg M1 presets appeared on the "Cruel, Crazy, Beautiful World" album the following year. I am particularly fond of their lesser known fourth album "Heat, Dust and Dreams" (1993).
