ARP 2600/Odyssey - Simple PIC Sequencer Interest?

At the risk of having the might of Mr Doty rain down on me for even suggesting such a thing, I've just installed a simplified version of ACX's PIC based Sequencer into my ARP 2600 clone (not a TTSH!).

It's similar to the sequencer in the old SCI Pro One, but there's only one channel and no ties or rests :( but it does have 48 notes and real time transpose.

I've thought about making it available as a DIY add-on kit (subject to permission). It only requires panel space for two miniature DPDT toggle switches, which you will need to drill holes for :shock: I know, I know...

I'm just not sure at the moment if it's a viable idea - but here's a quick and dirty demo:

That's neat!!

So the sequencer is recording the CV and not key info, right? (My French was never too good...)

I've spent the weekend thus far freaking out with joy about the Analogue Solutions Leipzig and its sequencer integration.
I've lost my right to gripe about sequencers. :D

It just receives the keyboard voltage & gate, although I had to add a schmitt/de-bounce circuit for the sequencer gate input... those J-Wires don't exactly make a clean contact :roll:

I'm currently messing with the original firmware to see if I can get ties & rests, it's not proving easy, but I've never been one for giving up when a problem comes along ;)

It looks like exactly the sort of sequencer I want (and that the PPG 350 could have been if...) -- a stand-alone version would be nice, without the need to hack into a 10,000 US$ mono synth.

I shudder at the thought of someone drilling holes into an Arp2600, and am considering submitting a bill to the federal government that would make such a heinous crime punishable with having all personal synthesizers seized, as well as 1 year of having to listen to nothing but Rosanne Barr sing the national anthem.

Secondly, my eyes still haven't recovered from seeing Marc Doty's bed head hairstyle in the new Sonic State video introducing him to the team. :lol:
