Synth things to do in New York?
Hi folks. I'm going to NY for a week in June, and I'm looking for synthy things- gigs, exhibitions, museums, good shops. Any suggestions are very welcomed!

Control in Brooklyn is a great shop, as for gigs there's heaps on all the time.

I'm not sure sorry, whenever I've been there I've just gone to the shows my friends knew were on.

Go to Rogue. They have some cool vintage pieces in there right now. Then walk across the street to Armen's and experience the surreal sensation of being surrounded by hundreds of glorious vintage pieces but having no way to try them out.

Joey lives in Berlin, now.
The last time I was in NYC, I visited The Analog Lab. It's an analog synth repair place run by Jeff Blenkinsopp, and it's truly amazing. When I was there, they had a PS-3300 and a Sonic V in addition to a million other things.
You have to make an appointment, though... 212-868-2492

Went to a few shows at Union Pool, also Death By Audio but that's gone now. I haven't been over there since 2012.madtheory wrote:Cool. Can you remember the venues? Maybe I could check their listings.

They're not in New York, but threewavemusic.com in New Jersey is awesome.
