So uhm.. since I grew up in a music shop in the 80's, I thought I had a fairly good idea about all the important organ brands. WTH is that Japanese brand, supposedly starting with an 'A'? :)

Wouldn't that be "Acetone" - which later became Roland?

Mm, interesting.. would make sense. Roland was the only organ manufactor from JP I could mention. But iirc their Atelier line-up isn't exactly vintage.
Thanks

Yes, they look to be almost full width but stubby. Nine more hours.

I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

So they would be similar to the third (solo) manual on D85:

Because that's what people do here! ;) Complain about things that don't really matter to them and repeat things they read on the internet but don't actually know firsthand. But mostly just have a good cry.

I think the DX looks cool, four parameters able to be edited at a time, built in effects, graphical LCD for feedback; it's a nice step up from every other FM synth in terms of usability. The YC looks great too, I love the sound of the YC organs, don't love carrying them to gigs though.

Full width but stubby looks good to me, I have big hands so minikeys are too narrow for me to play without one-finger cluster chords. :D

The leaked specs of the CS tell there're two MIDI-connectors (mini-DIN in/out). However this pic shows one.

http://data.yamaha.jp/sdb/product/image ... _12075.jpg

Can these connectors have a double purpose, e.g. becoming 'in' based on whether it ever receives MIDI-data?

I suppose it uses some kind of breakout cable to provide both in and out.

I read some rumors, that Reface instruments will be 399$ MSRP. If it's true (or close to the truth), I find it a bit high. But mayby it's just rumor. Probably we will know soon.

If you zoom into that pic you'll notice that it is not a standard 5 pin Din connector, so looks like it's gonna be a breakout cable indeed :thumbleft:
