Yup, cast your line, reel them in and earn wads of interest on all the payments received until orders are fulfilled.... What? Cynical? Me? No, never! ;)

I realize it's not Roland's fault, but I've cancelled for the time being. I'll still get one eventually though.
Who do you order from? Plenty of these retailers don't charge you until it ships. You are being needlessly cynical.

Gear4Music took the money from my account immediately, citing 8 days for delivery and then tell me "No, sorry it'll be another 2 months before we have them".

I'd rather have the £528 in MY account earning interest thank you.

That's not a nice way to do business! If they don't respect their part of the deal, you should be able to ask for a refund. A partial advance payment to stay in line might be more understandable...

Take some closeup pics and show something for scale please. I'm still on the fence on this.

Would've been a great synth for Adam & The Ants, I suppose

Despite having said the tiny sliders was a deal-breaker earlier, I too am still on the fence. I could probably be swayed if it sounds authentic enough, which I expect it would.

Having quickly checked my gear, 20mm-travel sliders can also be found on the CSQ-600 (portamento), Boss GE-7b (and other Boss EQ compacts), and Moog MF-105 MuRF. The ones on the Moog are decent enough. If Roland have used good quality sliders, 20mm, although small, is not unworkable.

EDIT: I have a horrible suspicion the Jupe module sliders will be even smaller, though...

What about the SH-32? Wouldn't those be the same size sliders?

My real concern is the Audio Outs. I am on pause because I can't stand those tiny stereo jacks.
That's what screams non-serious to me.
But the Juno (JU-06) unit has me the most interested.
And the JP-08 looks like a nice bit.

And the size works if they can be left anywhere and not need a permanent stand or space.

I just got in line for the JP-08 with the tiny keyboard. Should be in my mitts in a week or two, joining the Reface CS in my growing "mini-synth" arsenal. All the tiny slider talk aside, these little guys sound great, and cost much less than a real Jupiter, or CS 80, etc. Plus, when the world ends, we can use the battery powered midgets to create an electronic soundscape to go along with the mayhem. Win.

You can also just USB it into your computer-rig and not need to use the regular outputs at all.

"Quickly, go and buy this s**t, because this is some limited s**t" OMG this is so cheap and pathetic :(
