Hi there,
I'm using a Beatstep Pro to sequence the Minibrute.
When I first started, I was using the cv/gate outs of the beatstep and having a lot of fun with applying various filter velocities to individual notes in a sequence.
But what I really wanted was for the Minibrute's Arpeggiator/LFO clock to be synced to the tempo of the Beatstep. So I connected them via midi. It works great.
BUT, now I can't do any of those nice filter touches to individual notes. I've tried reconnecting the cv/gates but they act funny while the midi is connected.
Is there any way of getting the best of both worlds? Or do I need to choose between clock syncing and filter editing?
Thanks in advance,
Bill

The MiniBrute's arpeggiator should sync to external MIDI clock, but I don't think the LFO will sync to external clock.
Here's a video I made back in 2012 showing the MiniBrute's arpeggiator synced to a TR-707:

Thanks Z, I've actually just realised that I needed to get used to using the filters with CV. It's all working now - LFO is synced because I've switch the Minibrute's LFO clock to 'Arpeg'. And the Beatstep Velocity Cv out is working a treat on the Filter In CV on the Minibrute.
Good times.
