Virus TI uhhhhgg
Dang this thing has been the biggest POS I've ever owned. I like the sound a lot but it is so frustrating. I finally gave up on Ti mode since it didn't work half the time and personally I think it sounds better out of the spif output anyway. I am running it via USB MIDI and it keeps losing the connection or something like that. It will just suddenly not be playing and I look in my devices list in Live 9 and it's just gone. The USB cord is attached and there is no Virus showing in my MIDI devices list. If I turn it off and on it will show up again and I can add it and it will work again until it quits working again which might be as little as 1 hour. Am I doing something wrong? I've got a lot of other gear and nothing like this happens. I do a little searching and the web is littered with complainers about the Virus. It's a shame it's such a unique and cool sounding instrument but I find myself not bothering to turn it on that much anymore since it's such a pain in the a*s to use. Conversely I've used the Elektron in TI mode and had no problems so you know it can be done. Sorry for the rant any advice is appreciated.

Elektron succeeded with an idea that Access never completely figured out, even after 11 years. I've had a couple TI's and had mixed luck with that feature. Overbridge seems a lot more stable.
It just seems ridiculous that they still make a $2,000 synthesizer that's stuck in 2005. USB 1.0 and all! That said, it's amazing tool, but I wish they'd release a new version with better, modern USB integration.

I must be the only person who ever got TI to work
I owned a Snow and never used audio cables.
It's unfortunate that after a decade Access never really addressed the TI software problems, obviously it works for the majority of owners but they never post to forums.
In a recent SonicState podcast the idea was floated that Access is focusing on the Kemper guitar amps over the Virus based on the announcement that the Darkstar Polar was going back into production.

I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Probably the old software engineers left Access years ago and noone knows how to penetrate their code to fix the disconnect issues.
I remember when some "genius" at Alesis attempted to patch in MIDI CC codes on the Ion back in 2003, and managed to mess it up so the MIDI output on all encoders was 14-114 instead of 0-127. Meaning you could never fully open/close the filter via MIDI. And they never patched it afterwards. Someone clearly forgot to tell the guy that the midi standard is 128 steps not 100 steps.
