Re: Happy Christmas, love from Arturia
No one cares to speculate? I assume it's not spammy- to post this here and in the software area- so I think it's something for the hardware lovers/users and something for the softies...
But WHAT is universal for everyone that has their stuff(s)?
I thought maybe presets...but no......
Maybe a Plug In. A freebie plug...effect maybe....
I don't think soundpack...'
They just killed Analog synths....drum machines.....controllers....what's left?
What's the gift. And to post it out here says it's something or else they could have just hit up their mailing list and social media....
Curious....

As moderator I'll let this post slide as it appears to be a legitimate post from Arturia.
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Yep - I'm sure more than one of us got this in an email from them a week or so back. Tomorrow is the day - I wonder what it is?

Re: Happy Christmas, love from Arturia
If I had to guess, I'd say a link to download a piece of their classic software. I've had NI massive as a gift, as well as the Kontakt player and I think a sound bank or two.
If it's not this, it could be something like a coupon, limited time offer, or another promotion along those lines. "As a special gift, 15%off all bundled software, now through January 1st," etc.
A free microbrute would be unbelievable. I'm not holding my breath for that one though! It's probably an arturia shot glass.

This looks like a psychotropic reaction. No wonder it's so popular...

I thought it was just me who was cynical! I too guessed the offer would be nothing more than a discount just as ninja6485 describes.

Sending out hardware gifts, be it a synth or a shot glass, would cause unaffordable mailing costs, in addition to unavoidable costs such as for raw materials, people assembling it etc., whereas software doesn't cause extra costs once it is ready. Also, it can be distributed for (well almost - there are costs for the servers and for electricity
So my guess is some software (plugin, maybe even instrument...). If I'm mistaken and it is hardware, please send me a Matrixbrute and Drumbrute kit
Don't forget to TURN ON THE SYNTHESIZER. Often this is the reason why you get no sound out of it. - ARP 2600 manual, 1971

Nice plug-in, downloaded mine thanks. It'll supplement my V-Coilection well - I never did have the patience to figure out how to feed stuff into my MiniV.
