Hi all, good afternoon from cold and not - so - sunny Kent !
Am new to this forum, although not new to the world of analogue synthesis.
Quick list of gear owned previously since 1980, in rough chronological order :
KORG MS 20
YAMAHA SK10
ROLAND JUNO 6
KAWAI K1
KORG TRIDENT 1
ROLAND XP60
all except the SK10 have gone now, however last week I bought a nearly mint Juno 60, complete with its original Roland flight case. Well happy with it. Have a couple of questions to post about it, but don't wanna steam straight in,just wanna say hello first !
regards...Ian.

If you don't want to steam in right away you might as well leave and go somewhere else.
Just be true and respond to answers to your own questions and you'll be fine (with me at least. I don't like it when people come in, ask questions and never respond to answers).
WELCOME!!!!
It's good to see you still have the SK-10. It's been up for sale a few times here on the other side of the North Sea and I thought about getting one. It has a certain kind of charm.

Re: new to the VSE forums !
Hi again all. Thanks for all the welcomes ! When I said I didn't want to steam in straight away Baus, I meant that I didn't want to come in and immediately quiz people for information etc. Thought that might appear to be too "full on" so thanks again , will post up my question tomorrow when I can get back on the desktop as I have some photos I need to include. And the Sk10 is still going well Baus, although definitely of its time , has nice chorus speeds and is good for flute type sounds
Regards Ian..

Welcome! While not as active or as robust as it once was, VSE does fire up on occasion and is still a decent source for info. We're glad to have you here!
Of course, this is your grace period ... tomorrow you're expected to bring cookies ...

You want cookies ? how about these ? Found a July 1989 NME while rummaging through our wardrobes yesterday, and these ads were at the back, in the classifieds section.

those were the days ! dont forget, this was july 1989, so they're probably sold now !
regards ,Ian

Re: new to the VSE forums !
Hah! So knock a digit off of the price of an S1000, and add a digit to the price of the Jupiter 8. It really puts it into perspective when you see pictures of old techno/jungle artists, and they have racks full of samplers. I guess part of the thought behind investing in one of those was, if you had one, you could do a whole record with it... You still can of course, which is part of the hidden value in them now that no one's paying attention to!
This looks like a psychotropic reaction. No wonder it's so popular...

You can always check out http://www.muzines.co.uk for more vintage music mag goodness, and if you find any mags in your wardrobe we don't have, don't hesitate to drop me a line...ian wheele wrote:hello again all.... thanks Blue Monster 65

To quote an NPC in my favorite computer game (Tiny Tina from Borderlands 2):
Real badasses eat chocolate chip cookies, I'ma gonna get that tattooed across my back in Old English font.
Btw - Welcome, Ian
