Latency Question?

Latency Question?

when recording via a computer what amount of latency is considered acceptable?

also if you up the latency would this allow you to run more complex arrangements? (more vst's etc)

Latency to me means one thing, will my stuff line up as I record it.
Some programs such as Wavelab 6 adjust for latency.

Less than 7ms isn't beyond most 64bit PC's it just a case of how much you want to have running at once.
