High Quality A/D D/A converters

I don't have experience w/ much beyond the Motu/Digi LE grade stuff, but I have been researching this a bit lately...
From what I have been able to learn, Apogee, Lynx and Crane Song kinda own the quality converter market...there's plenty more, but you start getting into some crazy price ranges...not that $2000 isn't spendy to begin with...
Depending on your needs, RME also makes some interesting quality firewire interfaces...

You really need to give a budget before anyone can give you good recommendations. Anyway, if you're a Mac user, you might consider a Metric Halo MIO 2882 or ULN2. Excellent quality conversion for a decent price IMHO.
