Congratulations, you just opened the door to another dimension of subjective opinions!!! :D

What's your budget and what kind of sound are you going for?

Here's a few starting points:

Sebatron VMP series for fantastic valve stuff with great value for money.

Groove Tubes Brick for similar.

API 512 for a nice robust thick solid state sound.

FMR RNP for a nice clean pre.

The Great River MP-2NV

A million others for various flavours at various price points.

Others worth noting:

John Hardy anything, API 500a, Safe Sound P1, PreSonus ADL600, A Designs anything, JLM 99V or TG, Cranesong, etc.

And you were thinking Telefunken on that budget????

Just buy anything, all preamps in that price range will sound the same.

Save up more money and get something good. :)

If you can't, sell the mic and buy a good pre and run a cheaper mic into it, it'll sound better than a good mic into a c**p pre.

Hey are Presonus tube pre amps good? I willing to spend 300-400 on a good preamp? Any suggestion now?

Don't bother with PreSonus, check out a Groove Tubes Brick, should be 400 or less.
