I recently purchased an Apogee Rosetta 200 (haven't even hooked it up yet) with an x-firewire card to connect to my DAW (Digital Performer). I've decided that I would like more ins and outs to send through my hardware effects, so I may add the Rosetta 800 as well. Here are my questions:
1) Do they both use the same type of clock?
2) Does it matter which device is the master?
3) How can the 2 be connected so that the DAW sees it like a single 10 channel device? SPDIF?
4) Can I use the meter of the 200 to meter an input from the 800?
5) The 200 already has an X-Firewire card. Do I need one for the 800 as
well? (or will they share the firewire connection once connected?)
Thanks in advance!

2) No, you can clock either from the other via the wordclock connection.
3) You'd need to of the firewire cards and then set them up as an aggregate device in Audio Midi Setup.
4) No.
5) Yes, you'll need a firewire card for each one.
