Chameleon Labs 7602 Alternative?

The Chameleon Labs 7602 MkII is available for around $970 US with the Carnhill transformer factory mod.

Wondering what else is worth considering in that price range?

DIY? The CL stuff is supposed to be as cheap as good stuff can get. Have a look at the JLM Audio stuff.
