Mackie 1604 Vlz Mixer or similar

Post by laserboy » Sun Sep 13, 2009 2:44 pm

i have a mackie 1604 vlz Mixer, which has 16 Line and 16 XLR/Mic Inputs
my question is can i connect a synthesizer or a Drum-Machine as well to The XLR Input?
or have it to be connected to the Line-Input???

My Idea was to connect each channels Line And XLR´s so i could have 32 signals in same time

IIRC the XLR Mic inputs will override the Line inputs, so in short, no you cannot use both XLR and Line inputs. You may want to double check over at the Mackie forums, or just download the user manual and check for yourself.
