It's basically a pass through sampler for grainshifting/f**k/windowing. Really no other hardware fx like it. You can get similar results with those Digitech RDS pedals and lots hand work or the grain fx on the KP3/miniKP, but really just and awesome unit, well thought out and planned, especially by looking at the innards.

Basically where a snippet of audio is grabbed (harmonic window?) and is repeatedly played back - think of that stuttering sound you hear with a grain shifter.

From what I could tell there was a pretty constant demand for Teaspoons, and this is just the less expensive cut down version. You could buy a Teaspoon from his his site and get near twice that by turning around and selling it on ebay. Same with that Hollow Earth pedal that was out a while back.
