A way to mount pedals w/o velcro

Post by tallowwaters » Tue Nov 02, 2010 1:46 am

Actually thought this up a while ago and just got around to sharing it, though it's nothing that cool. Anyhow, I just used a bike chain link with the pedal case's screw inserted through one side, and a screw mounting the other side of the link to an old piece of sanded pine. Some of the chain links had to be drilled out for wackier pedals (EHX, Rocktron, Dano), but still works like a charm, and no filthy a*s velcro or velcro residue! Image

nice. i use pegboard & nylon ties when i can. easy to switch things around if you don't mind cutting & wasting what you've used with the last arrangement.

8-)

Bike chain is a common thing for gat players. I used to do it when I was gigging with a pedalboard.

i spent 3 years working at a venue & still play shows all the time & have never seen a pedalboard (which i almost always check out, being a junkie) using bike chain to hold pedals in place.

I'm just pissed that nobody told me sooner, if it's that common. I could have saved the rubber bottoms of several pedals and countless hours of scrubbing that god awful adhesive off.

600 photos out of the 600 million guitarists doesn't make it common.

I bet I'm the only guy with the I/O jacks on the side of his Dan Echo though...

Are you sure you want to get into an argument about the meaning of "common" with a rifle-weilding kitten?
