Hi: I was thinking about the purchase of a hard drive. I've read that it's a good choice a FW 400/800 hard drive, with a good amount of cache...It's what I've read.
I've an "old" MacBook white, 2 gb ram, 5400 rpm internal hard disk, that can't manage many audio tracks, it's really annoying, so I've decided to buy a G-Technology G-RAID hard drive, 2 tb, 32 mb cache,7200 rpm, fw 400/800. It's made by Hitachi, a really trusty brand (IMHO).
What hard drive do you use? MacBook owners opinions ( who work with Logic ) should be very useful.
Regards.

I've always had good luck with LaCie--I have 2 320GB and 2 2TB drives and have been very pleased. One of the 320s shelled out a day after I bought it, and the company shipped me a new one over the weekend--without waiting for the bad one first. The Rugged drive looks good if you need something portable.

I've used a Western Digital MyBook with my MBP for the last 4 years or so. It's usb though, as I tend to use my firewire for audio...but yeah the thing has been a champ; although at some point I probably should upgrade for the sake of hd space.

For god's sake dont buy a Lacie in the Porsche-designed casings, if you find one. they are fail-o-matics.
