Nice amp! Spring reverb or analog echo?

That amp is cool. Solid state spring reverb. It's a 70's home stereo console add on. It sounds very dub, especially when you hit it or drop it gently on the table. But it's a bit noisy the more you make the reverb effect wet. I'm planning on recapping that piece too. It only has one spring reverb tank but the signal path is stereo i/o. It's the Panasonic SR-202w. Scored it for $20 with the original manual and schematics no less.

I've been running into a lot of weirdo vintage audio c**p these days. The guy I bought that tape machine from threw in a weird analog noise generator for an extra $5, looks exactly like this: http://matrixsynth.blogspot.com/2007/05 ... -1200.html

Just hit the tape hard...mind the meters but just learn to accept them hitting well into the red.

Honestly, you've already done the best you might could use this thing for - tracking out acoustic drums very quickly.

Yeah... I should have just put that recording into the machinedrum when I had the chance.... tried to fix the grounding or shielding issue with one of the channels. Once I got it apart and back together again, it wouldn't turn on There's a lot of s**t inside these old machines... no ICs! It was so damn jam packed full of electronics and I even followed the service manual on the disassemble procedure and no dice. Oh well, I'm not giving up on tape just yet but I'm going to do more research next time and seek out a good model to mess with.
