I want to do some work with ogg Vorbis but I'm not as familiar with the format as I am with mp3, so I figure I'd shoot the question out for some opinions. I'm specifically looking for encoding/compression quality, I can deal with clunky interfaces or lack of features or whatever. Windows or Linux.
So, ideas? Thanks in advance...
What's the best ogg encoder?

Re: What's the best ogg encoder?
OGG encoders are a lot more simple to configure than MP3 encoders so there's not nearly as much to worry about.
I'd ask at Hydrogen Audio forums...

And here's another useful link: http://www.rarewares.org/ogg.php
I forget which one, but one or more of the rarewares .ZIP files has one or two freeware programs included inside of it.
I think there's one called OGGdrop, but I forget what the name is for sure. Anyway, it's really simple. you just right click to set the settings and drag and drop for processing of files in either direction.

Yeah, I've played around with Oggdrop (aoTuV ver) a bit and have been pretty satisfied with the results. Thanks for the links.
