Today I read that the just released $100 entry-level Cubase Elements 7 no longer includes a list editor, you have to upgrade to Cubase Artist 7 for that. Steinberg, how could you? After 25 years, this is the first version of Cubase to lack an event list editor.
Is such deep MIDI editing really passe? Opinions?

For me the list editor is vital for sorting out messages and making sure everything's under control. That said I'm still using Cubase VST 32 v5 which is about 13 years old or something!
