Prophet rev 2 Vs Virus ti2 polar keyboard (for Vox Humana sound)

I'm a big fan of Gary Numan, the Arp Odyssey and the Polymoog.
I've seen two Synthesizers that can play the Vox Humana pretty well, I'm asking your opinions, which one do you think sounds right on the sound?

Are you thinking of buying a synth based upon how well it does a 'Vox Humana'? (Vox Numana!)

Forgive me, but I'm not sure that's a good idea. The Rev2 is certainly capable of it (I have one), as doubtless the Virus TI2 is, but they are very different synths. What else would you use it for? Complex pads? Do you prefer the more digital Virus sound, or want something more analogue (Rev2)? Do you need for complex modulation? Internal effects? What other sounds are you gunning for?

One thought might be, if you just going after a specific pad sound like that is to buy a Waldorf Streichfett, or even a ROMpler, and hook it up to a MIDI keyboard. By the way, the Streichfett is a simple synth designed to emulate stringers, and it may get close to what you want. Apart from everything else, it's a much cheaper mistake to make (about 5-6 times cheaper). It has a very specific sound, but it does fill a particular niche very well.

To be honest I'm swinging to the Prophet Rev 2 as its cheaper, has loads of vintage sounds, Virus has more modern presets. Even though Gary Numan plays on Virus nowadays I'd probably do Prophet.
