looking for a multitimbral rack synthesizer
i'm looking for a multitimbral rack synthesizer. something to control from my yamaha rs-7000
i don't want something too hard to program and it really doesn't matter when it was made but maybe a hidden gem going for a good price on ebay
maybe at least 4 parts?
Thanks

Well without any info, like what music you're doing or what you expect, I'll just mention this Korg M3r is pretty good, and maybe you can pick it up cheap. http://cgi.ebay.com/KORG-M3R-SOUND-MODU ... dZViewItem
don't let the low battery scare you; a $3 battery and install easy enough even I could do it.

No offense, but if it really doesn't matter why are you asking us? search ebay for $500 racks and see what comes up. It sounds like you're asking opinions for what you should get when it sounds like you don't really know/care what it is.... or at least thats the impression I'm picking up...yek wrote:va i guess but the older synths are all sample based right? it doesn't really matter

yeah i'm interested in this.gcoudert wrote:Roland JV1080. 16-part multitimbral, sample-based, has drums too. Does decent impressions of analogue too. I'm not sure about prices across the pond but here in the UK, an un-expanded JV1080 would set you back £150. That's what I paid for mine, which was in mint condition.

ok thanks for the help everyone, this thread can die now

I was thinking it's worth around $400. Is that fair?
