I have been looking into the Roland MKS-70 and was hoping you guys could help with a couple of questions.
What is the approximate value at the moment? (I'm in the UK)
Is it possible to create a map for a hardware controller (e.g. Novation Remote SL which transmits sysex) to replace the PG-800? It is possible to edit in realtime via Sysex?
I've successfully created Remote SL maps for my CC controllable gear, not Sysex control so far.
Thanks in anticipation

Re: Roland MKS-70 Questions
Current selling prices on eBay are $300 - $500 (600-1K quid, I guess). The JX-10 keyboard sells for nearly half that, and adds a simple sequencer.
I have a PG-800 (damn things sell for nearly as much as the synths these days), so I cannot answer your question about setting up a SysEx controller. However, I thought the Peavey PC1600 (I think that's the model) has a template for the Super JX built in, so it may be possible. Hopefully, someone will be able to answer your question bout that.
Nice synth with quadraphonic output (stereo pair for both upper & lower tones). Just wish it had PWM.
Best of luck!

Re: Roland MKS-70 Questions
Thanks for the Reply Z.
I'm sure the controller thing is possible, the last PG 800 I saw on eBay was going for £275 ($550)!
Anyone sucessfully using a hardware controller (other than the PG 800) with an MKS-70?
Cheers

Re: Roland MKS-70 Questions
You might want to start looking at eBay US. PG-800's sell for $250 - $350 and should not cost more than $60 to ship across the pond.
Hopefully, someone can answer about using a SysEx fader box.
