new Moog RME - prices in the U.S

Hi.
I'm interested in buying a new Moog RME in the U.S.
I got an offer for 1850$. Is it a reasonable price for a RME?
I can see most of the places sell it for about 2300$.
Is there any chance this is a second hand/refurbished/open box/.. or is just a good deal?
Is there any way I can be sure I'm getting a new unit when buying?

nope, I've had a retailer offer me one at that exact same price...I find that most places will haggle a bit on Moog and DSI stuff...the more limited/boutique or imported things are usually have a lot less wiggle room...
